Significant
Saturday 7th Mar 2009
Have you ever stood gazing into a jewellery shop window? It is never the small diamonds that catch our attention. It is always those pieces which get placed a little higher in the window. Raised up on tiny mannequin necklines. Draped so beautifully, in shiny large boxes. So beautiful they actually deserve a tiny spot light just to reflect their individual beauty.
If you gaze long enough at these pieces your eyes might be drawn to the smaller boxes that seem to always be situated below. The rings, necklaces and earrings seem so small and insignificant compared to the higher pieces. They never have their own spot light and they never venture out of their boxes to be displayed.
I have a question for you beautiful!
Have you ever felt like these insignificant pieces of jewellery?
The word insignificant actually means;
Not worth considering!
Have you ever felt like no one saw you, no one valued you or even considered who you really are?
Beautiful, you have been created and crafted by your Heavenly Father, and He sees you!!
Who are you listening to, when you feel this way?
Who or what is telling you that you simply do not matter?
Psalm 139:1-4, 15-18.
1 O LORD, You have searched me
and You know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
You are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
You know it completely, O LORD.
13 For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.
Your Saviour created you perfect and beautiful. You are more than enough for Him. You take His breath away every time he looks at you. His heart beats to the sound of your name. You are his daughter. He more than considers you, He created you!
He can see you. He is so proud of you beautiful.
He died for you........... You are his beloved and his desire is for you.........
You were bought with a price and paid for with preciseness, so you would never feel insignificant.
