Wounded

Beautiful,

How do feel when something or someone brings up your past?

Does it make you feel uncomfortable?

Does it still sting a little bit?

It is very similar to a wound that is healing. If left alone it doesn't bother you. But when something or someone bumps it, it can start to hurt again. You then remember the memory that caused it to be there and the pain that you felt when it happened.

Sometimes we can stick a spiritual bandaid on our past. We bandage up our wounds and our brokenness trying to pretend they don't bother us anymore. Trying desperately to forget the past and keep moving forward and we end up living as a wounded Daughter.

Are you living wounded?

An unhealed wound is a dangerous thing to have. A wound that is constantly bandaged up and never treated properly will cause serious long term damage.

Healing a wound can be painful, it requires, patience, time and trust.

Are there any bandaids on your past?

Do you have more that one bandaid that you need to acknowledge?

The blood that was shed on Calvary is one of the greatest weapons that Christ died to give you. It was not shed so you could use it to try and forget your past. The stripes that Jesus bore for you were never meant to be used as spiritual bandaids, covering up your pain and brokenness. Jesus did not die for you so you could limp around with unhealed wounds.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 NIV

He exchanged your wounds for his when he suffered and died. Jesus shed his blood for you, to heal you and wash you clean from your past. He died to give you freedom and peace from your past hurts.

Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe-people and things, animals and atoms-get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross. Colossians 1:18Message

Beautiful, it is time to let Jesus take those bandages off. It is time to let his Royal Blood wash your past and all the hurt away. Royal blood was shed to be used as one of the greatest weapons to find true freedom.

But the fact is, it was our pains he carried
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him-our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed. Isaiah 53:5 Message

God does not want you to be a wounded Royal Daughter. He wants you to be a Whole Royal Daughter. Washed Clean with the blood of the lamb. Forgiven, Restored, and Set Free.
